From Renewable energy, recyclability, repurposing products and helping reduce waste by making things from sustainable materials, this category considers all things natural-made through to mass production with one purpose to record products with the accredited environmental ratings from their country of origin.

At LOUD we have a holistic approach to our library services and understand the importance to showcase the products and brands that are innovating in their fields to help reduce waste and consider a full life cycle assessment of what they create.

Words from our founder Louise Dobson Trease,

"After completing my thesis in Product development I learnt that to truly understand the ethos of sustainable design and innovate product design one must meet more than the commercialization of a product for it to truly be sustainable. The LOUD library was born on the ethos of helping to reduce waste through sampling and everything we implemented in our system worked to the best practise available at the time. It will continue to evolove as we can.

Rethinking LCA and consider how a product is manufactured, seek those who try to improve the processes and include more sustainable materials in designs we are involved with. I am interested in increasing recycled content, make sure that product can be reused or repurposed and recycled without comprising quality. If we all do a little at a time then bigger things can be achieved in the future. To truly succeeded in creating the sustainable design we must simply specify better made products otherwise we are only creating rubbish for the future."
