The Scandinavian style emerged in the 20th century characterized by a movement focusing on simplicity, minimalism, and functionality.
Five Nordic countries; Norway, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Iceland made the movement flourish from the 1950s. Interiors emphasize simple furnishing that is functional and strikingly modern furniture amongst it without the need for ostentatious displays.
"Scandi" spaces combine a blend of textures, softer hues with warm inviting overtones, natural materials set amongst a neutral palette sparking an abundance of light that ooze comfort.
To achieve this style it exercises restraint in displaying excessive decorative items and balancing decor that makes a place still feel homely and offers choices of comfort.
Interior styling will include Nordic icons furniture.
